Years ago there was a very popular forum software company. That company was sold. When it was sold the quality of the product went downhill. People were leaving in droves to new forum software. Since the owners on the once popular software had no use for it I created a site called Not In Use to point the license URL in the customer area to the site. You see the licenses were useless because they instituted a policy you couldn't sell or transfer the license.
In the heyday many people added the link to Not In Use in the license area. Once the company allowed license sales and transfers the domain morphed into a marketplace to sell those licenses. It also was used to link to an URL, product or service they didn't use.
When I shutdown all my sites due to illness the domain notbeingused.net was taken. So when I decided to open my sites after getting a clean bill of health I bought this domain to replace the one I lost.
I might in the future import the old content. For now we start anew.
